Loving Jesus,
I come to you now, just as the disciples on the road to Emmaus, knowing that you will meet me where I am.
I thank you for reminding me that you walk with me, and you open my eyes to the truth. Thank you for the love that you have shown me, and for being with me when I need you most.
Lord, just as those disciples’ hearts burned within them, I ask that my heart will burn with the same passion for your word and your presence.
Help me to see you in my life today, just as the disciples did when you broke bread with them.
I thank you for conquering death and raising from the grave, so that I will have eternal life.
Help me to remember that the resurrection is not just an event that happened in the past, but a present reality that transforms my life.
Lord, help me to remember that death has no power over me and that I have a firm hope in you.
Help me to remember that in all my struggles and difficulties, you are present with me, just as you were with those disciples on the road to Emmaus.
Thank You for all your promises and faithful love.
We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ.
