God, as we prepare for the completion of forty days of lent and fasting, help us overcome the temptations that we will come across.
It is possible that we will be tempted by our own pride, ego and claims of our fasting and lent.
May our lent give us the strength to be disciples of Jesus than deserting him at the last moment.
Strengthen our souls even as our bodies are weak.
God, as the real temptations start, shelter us from the offers and allurements of the devil.
